Description O-ring Sand Filter replacement (Ring Valve) Gasket is used in many pieces of pool equipment, including sand filters, and may need to be replaced over time due to wear and tear. A worn-out O-ring gasket can cause leaks in a sand filter. Here are some tips for replacing and lubricating them in pool filters: Lubricate Use a non-petroleum-based lubricant, such as Jack’s Formula Multi-Lube, to protect it from rust, corrosion, water pressure, salt, and pool chemicals. Avoid petroleum-based lubricants like Vaseline, which can cause them to expand and lead to leaks. Apply an even coat of lubricant to the entire edge of the O-ring replacement using your thumb and index finger. Replace Place the new replacement Ring Valve (Gasket) inside the groove along the rim of the lid. Show More Show Less
