Malvaviscus arboreus ‘Compactus’ – Sleeping Hibiscus (6″ pot)

$ 27.00

Description This is a tropical plant related to Hibiscus (and looks like the dwarf turk’s cap) that gets small red flowers that do not fully open. This adorable “miniature” plant will produce flowers year round in a tropical climate and hummingbirds LOVE it at our nursery. I always catch one in the fall when I walk by the plants at our nursery. This plant can also be kept small and trained as a Bonsai tree. Here is a youtube link to a green hummingbird I was able to catch on video enjoying the flowers. Video taken in November 2015. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFHWYciHrws All photos are for reference purposes only. We do not sell finished Bonsai trees.
